Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? I’ve (probably) got answers. See ‘em below.

  • MeravWrites is a boutique copywriting and UX writing consultancy founded by Merav Levkowitz (that’s me!) in 2013. I’ve been writing all my life, and in 2013, I transitioned into writing full-time after working in translation and localization, followed by marketing. These days, you’ll find me writing copy and microcopy (UX writing), helping brands define their voice, leading workshops, and training my small team so we can expand our reach further. I work with companies like Google, Gong, Stoke (acquired by Fiverr), and more.

  • My team and I handle UX writing (microcopy) and copywriting (web copy, landing pages, blogs, and email sequences) in English for high-tech companies. I don’t work on projects for individuals (e.g., resumes, cover letters, etc.).

  • Too many to count! I work primarily with high-tech companies (from startups to large enterprise companies) in a huge variety of industries, including medical, financial, cybersecurity, insurance, health and wellness, blockchain, telecom, industry 4.0, edtech, agriculture, and more. I’m always looking to dip my feet into new areas and learn new subject matters.

I don’t work with gambling, forex trading, or cigarette/tobacco companies, and I reserve the right to turn down clients based on their industry or the nature of their work.

  • You’re right—I’m not a programmer/doctor/cybersecurity expert/finance guru/[insert other title here]. However, I am an excellent listener, observer, researcher, question-asker, and communicator, and that’s often far more important than knowing the exact nitty-gritty of your programming language or your medical device. You know what you’re doing; it’s my job to help you communicate that to other people who may not know, but nonetheless need to be convinced. That’s why the MeravWrites tagline is “Your words. Only better.”

Using the information you provide, as well as outside research, my team and I translate your vast knowledge and understanding of your product or service into a story that a wider audience can understand and connect to.

  • The more the merrier. That doesn’t mean I need you to write everything out for me. That’s my job! But the more information you can provide about your company, industry, product and/or service, and story, along with your target audience and what you’re looking to get out of them, the better. (And don’t worry, I’ll ask questions to guide you.) I’m also interested in hearing about your competitors and what makes you different. Likewise, I love seeing content that inspires you.

  • It varies based on the project. Web copy takes 2–3 weeks. UX writing projects take around 1 month and typically include ongoing support. After I submit a finished project, you have 5 business days to provide feedback, so I can make changes while it’s still fresh in my mind.

  • It varies based on the scope of the project. Projects start around $2,000 and go up from there. Get in touch, and I’ll provide a customized quote.

  • Nope, sorry. Think about it: Hourly work isn’t ideal for either of us—it encourages me to work slower (more hours = more pay), and you don’t have a good sense of how much it will actually cost you. I use project pricing, which is clearer for all of us.

  • My team of experienced writers and I do. Team members get a clear brief from me, and I review and edit all their work before it goes out to you.

  • Real talk: The internet is full of copywriters, many of them cheaper than I am. I pride myself on being able to translate complex topics into clear messages and meaningful stories that get results. I’m allergic to jargon and overly complicated wording, and with every project my team and I aim to achieve our slogan: Your words. Only better.
